Motherhood Unfiltered: Mother Rage
What if your rage isn’t the problem—but a signal?
Service Description
You love your children. And sometimes you are so overstimulated, touched out, interrupted, needed, responsible for everything, and completely out of capacity that one more request for a snack feels like it might actually send you over the edge. Maternal rage can be scary. It can leave mothers feeling ashamed, out of control, and wondering, *Why am I so angry all the time?* But anger doesn’t happen in a vacuum. **Motherhood Unfiltered: Maternal Rage** is a two-hour workshop that looks beyond “anger management” and asks a different question: **What is your anger trying to tell you?** Together, we’ll explore maternal rage through a feminist and nervous-system-informed lens. We’ll talk about overstimulation, burnout, invisible labor, resentment, unequal caregiving, unrealistic expectations, loss of autonomy, unmet needs, and what happens when women are expected to keep giving long after their internal resources have run dry. We’ll also look at what happens *before* the explosion—learning to recognize the physical, emotional, and relational signals that your capacity is disappearing—and practical ways to respond before you reach the breaking point. And because understanding our anger doesn’t mean excusing everything we do when we’re angry, we’ll talk about repair: how to take responsibility after losing our cool without spiraling into shame or believing one hard moment defines us as mothers. This isn’t about teaching mothers to become quieter, calmer, or easier for everyone else to live with. It’s about learning to listen to anger before it has to scream.
